It has been great fun and I hope everyone has a good night.  Be nice win or lose.  Don’t take the worst from either side and make that the norm.

Have at it guys.

First drink in 11 weeks.  Here’s to whomever wins tonight:

Remember what I posted here the other day…George Soros has major stock and shares in the electronic voting machines in 20 states. That should tell you all you need to know! Also, we will never know how much voter fraud happened because the Justice Dept. will never investigate it, polls being opened longer for minority districts, Black Panthers everywhere, the list goes on and on….the Chicago machine at it’s best. Never trust anything coming out of Chicage, Republicans made a huge mistake in 2008, now we will have to suffer another 4 years and probably many more years after that. Chicago style politics, just can’t beat em’

This is exactly what happened and the same thing in 2008. Engineer a financial disaster in 2008. It was easy to do.

Bingo on the comment above about deleveraging. States like CA and IL and the federal government will be headed off a cliff to default on sovereign debt. Which will mean no one foreign or domestic in his right mind will buy another such bond. So the dems will push for even higher taxes like was done in the Great Depression thus pouring gas on the fire to the Second Great Depression. The first demagogue of the left or right who comes along in 2016 singing “jubileeeeee” (default) will win in a landslide.

Funny thing if Fla would have done what it was suppose to do we’d be on pins and needles. I was never one who thought that we should get rid of the EC but maybe a better way to do it would be 1 EV for each Cong Dist. then the winner of the state get 2 additional. Would make alot more votes relevant. In all honesty there is no reason to me to vote for Pres in NJ. It would make it much more difficult for the political machines to run the national elections

Economically it appears that a majority in the states that matter think that thinks getting real bad under Obama by 2010 and then getting back to just bad where he started in 2008 is some kind of economic magic on his part. When the next downturn begins in earnest they will learn what the cognitive bias of recency effect means, but too late.

Put this on your fridge folks. The USA will be 20 Trillion in debt, NOT by 2016, we will hit it by 2014 4th qtr. So all the blue voters in those blue states get ready for the gravy train of government hand outs to stop. Also look to 9% unemployment by Feb 2013. Unemployment rates probably don’t matter to those types of voters anyway (they must not). Get ready for riots in the streets when the hand outs come to an end.

Hey guys I think you are missing a lot … I am an independent and I have been mostly following this blog without many comments. Most of the 47% that you are disrespecting are seniors, disabled vets, and families where the single mother holds two jobs. Yes there may be 10% who are taking a ride but we can’t make policy to punish them at the expense of the others. Most of us could be in the 47% category at some time in the future. Here are the big issues that are hurting the right …. The far right is way to right, much further right than the extreme left is left. The tax issue is huge … tax revenues have to go up along with cuts in spending including military cuts. Obama has made it clear he supprts al three strategies and you will see that this is what he will be preaching. If any of you are “birthers” you can’t believe how the rest of the world laughs at you. It is such an act of desperation. It is also laughable to suggest that Obama is a liar when you have in Romney someone who won’t reveal his taxes … won’t say how he can offset a 20% reduction in tax rates … and has changed his position on just about every important issue. He comes across as the most unethical candidate … ever. Unless you are a woman you can’t see how important the abortion issue is. The population is changing so that whites like us will be less than 65% of the voting block soon … immigration issues have to become more liberal. What is happening with Hispanics is exactly what happened years ago with Italians, Irish, Polish, etc. To not give Obama credit for what he did to get us out of a tail spin that was the worst sine the depression is just not reasonable. He performed almost precisely as well as Reagan during his first term. Obama also did an excellent job with foreign affairs. For Romney to try to take credit for what he would have done for the auto industry had to kill him in Ohio. That was an obvious lie. Sandy and Christie had little to do with what is going on. Non-whites and women did not decide to vote for Obama because of Sandy or Christie. Finally … the people who many of you look at as “takers” ask for help and need help just like the rest of us. When you or a loved one becomes gravely ill most of us will be thankful for Medicare and Medicaid and yes … even Obamacare. When a hurricane wipes us out we will be grateful for the federal government. When our roads and bridges and electrical grid fall apart we will be glad everyone is kicking in to solve the problem. Sorry to hit you with this when you are down but this is a big event and hopefully everyone can come together and compromise to get solutions. If Mitch McConnell declares that his primary goal will be to defeat the next Dem presidential candidate it just won’t fly again. The R’s proved that having a simple majority was not enough to let the D’s do more. The super majority is an awful system that just stops legitimate efforts to solve problems. Finally if you have to look for rationalizations to prove dozens of polls wrong you should check your logic. Some polls may be occasionally wrong but just like any business if they want to exist and make a profit they have to be able to prove that they are accurate. Nate Silver is doing nothing but helping people understand probability and statistics. He just takes other companies polls and helps us to understand what they are saying … believe him.

Independent for 40 years … it amazes me how hard it is for so many Rs to accept a moderate position. So many issues that Rs fight because they are Obama’s issues use to be conservative issues. Obamacare use to be a Republican issue. Cutting the huge military expenses used to be a Republican issue. I see the need to cut medicare and SS but I also have studied the effect of tax cuts and you will see a study published shortly that shows zero correlation between income tax rates and the economy or jobs. Try to come to the middle just a bit and see that it doesn’t hurt.

Under socialism you eventually run out of other peoples money. Enjoy your free ride while it lasts. When the economy crashes the “47%” aren’t going to care if you voted for Obama. When things are bad and they don’t have food, water and other necessities they are coming for your shit and unless you have self defense mechanisms.

In 28 years of travel in the NAVY I’ve seen what dependency does to countries. Man you are in for a rude awakening. Glad I have the food, water, defense and necessities to survive off the grid for 6-12 months. People (like me) who are prepared will have the last laugh. Enjoy what is left of America.

And don’t count on the police or military protecting you. They will be taking of their families.

Have you ever looked at the total taxes someone pays who is making $40,000 a year versus a millionaire? The $40,000 family pays more in total taxes (ss, sales tax, real estate tax, local tax) as a percent of income even though they pay no income tax. Do you know that we pay less in total taxes as a percent of GDP than all but 3 of the 40 largest industrial countries? How did we grow so well for decades while the highest marginal tax rate was over 50% and 70%. I know this is hard to take but we will survive.

i hate when people write stuff and they don’t know what they’re talking about. Romney wanted GM to go thru bankruptcy. Bankrupcy is not liquidation. Only an idiot would think it is. GM made and makes huge profits off of trucks and SUVs. It’s the legacy debt to bondholders and the UAW that was killing them. Bankruptcy is to protect the company and reorganize. It’s called “bankruptcy PROTECTION”. IE protect the companies’ operations from creditors. Obama stepped in…the shareholders were wiped out, bonderholders lost tons, UAW lost nothing. Taxpayers lost 40 billion dollars. It didn’t save a single job. They cut unprofitable cars and kept the profitable lines. He didn’t bail out GM, he bailed out the UAW’s retired workers. And you applaud him for giving taxpayer money to his friends.

People will need medicare? Really? And Romney what, wants to cut it to zero, right? Why is Obama cutting 800 billion in medicare funds to doctors then if it’s so important? Corporations used managed care to save money in their health plans. medicare is “fee for service”, very inefficient and prone to fraud and misuse. Romney wanted to move 55 and unders to managed care to SAVE the system which the actuaries say is going bankrupt. Then some idiot like you comes along and acts like he wants to cut it to zero.

And Italians and Irish came here when the country was empty and there was no free welfare, health care etc. Mexicans jump across the border and can get all the welfare benefits known to man. Gee why is the country going bankrupt? Why are 15% of people on foodstamps? It’s a prescription for disaster. 6 milion Italians came over in the early 1900s. 20 million illegals come over, 3 million a year, and that’s just something we’ll have to “live with”.

      Enjoy the coming austerity.

Calling one’s self an independent does not make one a “moderate”. Look at your manifesto. Your positions are all leftist, not moderate, positions. And if the country has moved so far away from Republicans, how do you explain our large majority holding in the House of Representatives?

The country has reached the tipping point if an administration with this record can be voted back into office. This is the last election for all of us red staters. The direction of the country will now be forever directed by those that depend on the government for the majority of their well being. The ultra rich will still be fine as history proves that they can always find a path to retain their wealth (and they should be able to retain their wealth). Unfortunately the burden will fall on the middle class. It is very hard to accept the fact that my tax burden is so high yet the person that exited my tax preparers office before me earned an 11,000 earned income tax credit (in the form of a $11,000 refund check) after only making 20K for the year and paying under 2K in taxes. Does that sound fair? But we are already 4 years into the redistribution program. 4 years ago I was willing to see what our president could do with the ball….he struck out now he gets another at bat.

Limbaugh had a good idea today. Divide America between Democrats east of Mississippi River and Republicans west of the river. Build a wall 100″ tall the length of the river.

Liberalism/govt programs style government to the East and Conservative/Capitalism to the West. How long would the liberals survive before they would try to scale the walls or dig a tunnel under to come to capitalism
