For those who’ve folowed this campaign but may not have seen the final Romney rally in Colorado today – you should check it out. If you’ve heard Mitt’s stump speech then you know the story he conveys about the Challenger – SPOILER – the scoutmaster from Monument, Colorado comes on stage, salutes + greets Mitt & shows off the US flag! GO MITT GO!

Just got back from the rally. It was really great to see Ann and the actual scoutmaster with the flag was an awesome surprise!

Do tell us Brittany, how many people were there? How was the energy level you felt there?

      • Posted November 3, 2012 at 10:37 pm | Permalink

I was asked to be on stage (I got to wave a nice “CO ❤ ANN" sign!), so I could see all the way to the edges of the entire stadium, and it was jam-packed. I was told that place holds 18,000 and if that's true, there were at least 18,000 people there. The enthusiasm was huge, constant cheering, banging thunder-sticks, camera flashes were going off all over the place. There was booing when it was pointed out what Obama hadn’t done after all his promises in 2008 but overall it was a very positive, enthusiastic vibe. My father who also went told me he kept thinking he was at a Reagan rally from the level of enthusiasm.

Around 45 seconds in, the camera pans out and you can see my head above the “ANN for 1ST LADY” sign just above Romney’s head. I’m wearing red with white sleeves, long dark brown hair. I kind of jump up and down when Mitt introduces Ann as the next first lady and hold up my own “CO ❤ ANN” sign.

The revenge comment of Obama would be the nemesis of his election, Vote for Love of America Theme of Mitt Romney has caught the imagination of Americans. Now time to dump all pollsters, Look at the crowd, look at the faces and energy and you come to know the national mood, Only issue is a fair polling and no malpractices and Romney wins hands down

Apparently, Obama drew 20k in Milwaukee today. On the bright side, we have no idea how he would have fared there at the same time in 2008 because he wasn’t being forced to campaign there then.

Well, in Milwaukee, a heavily democratic area, and lots of people went for the concert. No telling how many they had to bused in from surrounding areas.

They were probably bussed up from Chicago.

    Keith,

Could you please confirm this news about early voting in Nevada?

NV EARLY VOTING: GOP NARROWLY WINS WASHOE

    • Posted November 3, 2012 at 9:42 pm | Permalink | Reply

yes it’s true. The GOP won it by 589. The GOP won it by +173 in early voting in 2004 but that was before it became such an important aspect of Presidential campaigns so it’s not a perfect comparison. Still a big win nonetheless.

i have tracked ev in ME since it started, Reps numbers get better every day. I think RR win the small district for 1 EV but not all of ME. That would be even bigger wave than what i c coming and it is coming.

I find questionable the suggestion that the spread is also 7 points in the 2d District. In 2008, it was 6 points closer in that district compared to the state as a whole.

Other thing about ME2 from 2008, the ME repub redistricted several urban areas out of it. I think it was Waterville and maybe Augusta and they moved R lean districts into it.

Folks this is all well and good. But I keep hearing reports of voter fraud – a man in NC who claimed to vote 4 times, Somalis in Ohio bussed in to vote, and now in Colorado especially, many voters saying their votes for Romney are showing up as Obama. Not sure how we can win with this type of voter fraud. I’m trying to stay positive, but it’s impossible when you hear about this.

This was the Romney rally at Comfort Dental Amphitheater (naming rights purchased) that drew around 17,000 to 17,500. This rally, the rally earlier today at Colorado Springs Municipal Airport that drew 5,000, and the Red Rocks rally is a great sign that Colorado is with in reach for Romney.

Obama drew 24,000 people in Virginia tonight (with Bill Clinton and Dave Matthews band). With 20K in Milwaukee, he had a pretty big day.
