Obama heading back up to NH on Sat. Second time he’s been there recently. Romney hasn’t been there in months.

I think NH is swinging hard toward RR. I just got back and another new yard sign popped up in my neighborhood. I see new ones everytime I go out and its not just a bunch on the side of the road.

It is 50:1 R to O in signs in general.

He looked like the George Bush-like character that James Brolin played on The West Wing.

Ack! Thanks for that reminder. What a horrid caricature that was. He played a moron, and Bartlet sneered all over him because he, being a Democrat, was so much smaaaaarter than this rube. God I hated the politics on that show. Nothing changes for the Dems. Still up themselves and believing they’re entitled to rule over everybody else ten years later on.

People talk about the swing of Gallup polls in previous elections, but that’s not really the important point. The important point is that Romney is at 51-52
    http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/robbins-report/2012/oct/21/romney-has-best-gallup-tracking-poll-numbers-1968/

The best Gallup tracking poll numbers at this point in over 40 years.

Same with this UNH poll of NH. Just look at Obama’s number, despite the lead. He doesn’t break 50 percent (how to not let polls stress you out, haha).

Romney is doing extremely well with newspaper endorsements. We’ll see if he can continue the momentum and do better than Bush. Current tally and previous totals:

    2012
    Obama 14, Romney 11

    2008
    Obama 65, McCain 25

    2004
    Kerry 51, Bush 33

don’t really think newspaper endorsements matter much in persuading undecideds, but it gives a sense of the mood of the public. it will be interesting to see what the chicago tribune does — will it go through as many twists as a wrigley field pretzel and endorse the hometown boy, or if it endorses romney (will this be the coup de grace – many of chicago big rollers for obama in 08 have/are abandoning him in 12.
