In Battleground Iowa, Early Voting Turnout Is Key

Nice look at the early voting in Iowa. Democrats always come out of the gate strong, but Republicans have flipped the script all over the state. Key nugget: “The Romney campaign and Republican National Committee had done more by April than John McCain did in Iowa by election day…”

    “Just four years after he ignored and lost the state.” Revisionist history there. Romney and his sons visited every county in Iowa in the MittMobile bus in 2007. Good to hear about the improved Republican registration, though. I think we may pull this one off.

      Joe Trippi has said his Democratic contacts have stated that online GOP registration has doubled since last night and has maintained a brisk pace. I think Romney excited the base and swayed a lot of voters in the middle.
