Obama +4 in Wisconsin — CNN/ORC

CNN and its partnership with ORC International has a battleground state poll out in Wisconsin following the selection of Paul Ryan as Vice President and the Badger State is tightening up. We established previously that polls of adults have shown a 7-point Democrat advantage and Obama leads by 6 among adults — good sign for Romney.  This poll also has a subset of registered voters that shrinks Obama’s lead to 4 points: 49 to 45.  An analysis of 2010 election surveys revealed that “registered voter” poll on average showed a 4-point Democrat advantage meaning if this analysis were to remain true in 2012 the race is a dead heat.

For President Percent
Barack Obama 49
Mitt Romney 45
Other 5
Undecided 1
